Afternoon

Afternoon is the time of day after 12:00 (noon), and follows morning each day. It nevertheless comes before night, and its use is often quite subjective.

Think about your routine afternoon activities. Children look forward to getting out of school. Some “South of the Border” cultures look forward to an afternoon siesta, or nap. The afternoon is usually the warmest part of the day, and it may be healthier to rest, rather than work hard, in the afternoon in tropical climates.
