Actually the title should be appended to include affiliate managers who have been on the job for a while, too. There are even some seasoned veterans who could use a few of the pointers found in Geno Prussakov’s books. I have read them. I actually read the first one before I got involved in program management because it provides great insight into the world of affiliate marketing for affiliates as well as affiliate managers, the intended audience.
If you are serious about developing a career in affiliate management you should buy and read these three books:
- A Practical Guide to Affiliate Marketing: Quick Reference for Affiliate Managers & Merchants
- Online Shopping Through Consumers’ Eyes: A Study of Online Users’ Responses to 107 Questions
- Affiliate Program Management: An Hour a Day
The first is the oldest of the three but is a good “first read” because most of what is presented still applies in today’s marketplace. As I stated above, it is also a good read for affiliates because it lets them see a larger perspective of the business. They are available for purchase at Amazon.com – or for perusal, if you come to visit, on my personal bookshelf (where I have signed copies).
